Project Approach
How We Helped Them
We-Collab implemented a structured, collaborative process to guide the cohort through the six-month co-design phase. Our approach focused on fostering meaningful relationships, encouraging innovation, and aligning organizational efforts.
- Onboarding & Team Building: We introduced participants to the initiative and used interactive exercises, like the “Tarp Poles,” to build relationships and improve collaboration. These activities promoted self-awareness and teamwork, laying the foundation for effective cooperation.
- Hybrid Facilitation: We led a series of virtual and in-person convenings, ensuring consistent engagement and flexibility. Subgroups were formed around key areas such as policy, messaging, and power-building to drive focused collaboration.
- Research & Insights: We interviewed each organization to understand its unique strengths and identify existing relationships within the group. This allowed us to craft a tailored strategy for collaboration and policy development.
Family Advisory Council (FAC): A key element of the process was the inclusion of FAC, a group of caretakers whose experiences informed the initiative’s direction. We helped bridge the gap between their lived experiences and the broader policy discussions, ensuring the project remained grounded in the realities of the communities affected.
