
Dr. Marcus McCarty
As a Senior Analyst at We-Collab, Marcus supports project teams with research, analysis, and content development, bringing expertise from multiple sectors. He brings strategic insight, streamlines workflows, and ensures clarity, depth, and impact. He previously worked with Fortune 500 companies in various capacities, and his expertise spans DEI strategy, talent acquisition, leadership coaching, and change management. He’s led executive coaching programs, designed inclusive sourcing strategies, and advised senior leaders on equity-centered systems. In education, Marcus served as an Assistant Principal, leading cultural and operational turnarounds in underserved Texas communities.
Marcus holds dual bachelor’s degrees from Morehouse College and Auburn University, and a Master’s and Doctorate in Education Policy, Organization, and Leadership (Diversity & Equity) from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research focused on Black males’ experiences from K–12 to the workplace. Hailing from Alief, Marcus is a proud Houston Native with a deep passion for education, uncovering equitable futures, and acknowledging and reconciling history. He enjoys good food, travel, ministry work, documentaries, and bringing bold, thoughtful perspectives to any conversation.
